Email Whitelists and Goodmail Demystified

If email marketing campaigns or email newsletters are part of your communications outreach with the small business market, then be sure to read “Breaking Down the AOL/GoodMail Stir.” 

It’s a blog post by the CEO of VerticalResponse.  In it she describes AOL’s recent decision to start recognizing the Goodmail service.  Goodmail enables emailers to pay a fee of $2 to $3 per thousand in exchange for relative certainty that their messages will get through to recipients’ inboxes.

She also gives one of the best explanations I have seen about whitelists in general.
