Email Whitelists and Goodmail Demystified

February 13, 2006 | Anita Campbell

If email marketing campaigns or email newsletters are part of your communications outreach with the small business market, then be sure to read “Breaking Down the AOL/GoodMail Stir.”

It’s a blog post by the CEO of VerticalResponse.  In it she describes AOL’s recent decision to start recognizing the Goodmail service.  Goodmail enables emailers to pay a fee of $2 to $3 per thousand in exchange for relative certainty that their messages will get through to recipients’ inboxes.

She also gives one of the best explanations I have seen about whitelists in general.
