Infomercials Coming to the Web

Just when you thought it was safe to go into the water, look out.  Infomercials are coming to a website near you.

“KickStartMedia.com, a startup company in San Diego, has a head start selling tools that teach small businesses and online entrepreneurs how to make their own Internet Infomercials with one goal in mind: converting viewers into buyers.

Mike Koenigs and Rocket Helstrom released The Internet Infomercial Toolkit two weeks ago. A combination of DVDs, audio CDs and online tools gives their clients everything they need to make sales-driving web videos. “All the customer needs a camcorder or webcam, some off-the-shelf software and a laptop to make their own Internet Infomercials for less than $1,000. Some people do it at no cost if they already have the tools”, says Helstrom.”

Guess what technique the Infomercial Toolkit is using to sell its Toolkit?  You guessed it — informercials.
