Tutorials for Your Business Blog
June 14, 2007 | Anita Campbell
If you are relatively new to blogging or thinking about a blog in order to market to small businesses, you might want to check out the Blog Mastermind series.
Yaro Starak is an Australian entrepreneur who makes his living online. He’s started a series where he gives blogging tips to current bloggers or those who want to start a blog.
One of the things he does particularly well is create short (15 - 20 minute) video tutorials, where he shows you screenshots and in a conversational voice explains points about blogs. In his latest video, he reviews a blog and gives pointers about how to improve it. It’s a blogspot-hosted blog, and if you are still at Blogger.com’s blogspot URL then for sure you want to review it.
To read the background about the video and to watch the video, go to: Watch Over My Shoulder As I Review A Blog In This Case Study Video.
Also, if you are looking for your blog to be a moneymaker in and of itself, Yaro is offering something called the Blog Profits Blueprint. He explains the different ways to make money directly from a blog through advertising, affiliate programs and the like. I know that a lot of entrepreneurs who have knowledge to sell (consultants, business coaches, writers, et. al.) want to use their blogs for two distinct purposes: to generate leads for consulting gigs and project work, and also to generate income directly. The two can work together nicely. For the free information and separate video about making money directly from your blog, go to: Blog Profits Blueprint.

I have been considering blogging for a while now. Yaro’s tutorials are very informative and easy to follow. Most video tutorials go too fast and you have to keep rewinding & rewatching. He takes his time and explains things clearly. Thanks for the links.
Amanda,
I, too, have watched Yaro’s tutorials and found them incredibly useful. His tutorial on how to make money from your blog is extremely insightful - you may want to give that one a watch.
Amanda, I took your advice and did watch and it was not time wasted. Yaro’s explaining where you can really understand and absorb is what impressed me. Great site! Thank You!!!
